Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation’s 16th Annual Fall Golf and Tennis Classic Raises $163,000

River Vale, NJ (PRWEB) October 19, 2006 -- More than $163,000 was raised at the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation’s 17th annual Fall Golf and Tennis Classic, held on Monday, September 25th, at the Edgewood Country Club in River Vale, NJ. Presenting sponsor of the event was once again Union State Bank, who continues to demonstrate its commitment to the community through efforts such as this. Proceeds from the event will help to defray the purchase and installation costs of a new state-of-the-art 64-Slice CT Scanner.

The golf classic featured a fun-filled day beginning with a breakfast buffet at 9:30 a.m. Attendees participated in an elite 18-hole “shamble,” which was preceded by a putting contest. For those who preferred a hard court to the links, a tennis tournament was also offered. Lunch at the Midway for golfers was sponsored by the Hilton Woodcliff Lake.

The day concluded with an upscale cocktail “Grand Reception,” silent auction, and dinner.

All funds raised through the Fall Classic will support the acquisition and installation of the latest diagnostic imaging equipment, a 64-Slice CT Scanner.
