Northwest Florida Resident Opens New Counseling Program Aimed at Healing Your Spirit and Heart

(PRWEB) September 9, 2004 -- Often a person may encounter things in their lives that they wish they had someone there to talk with. If there is neither family nor close friends to turn to, a person may seek out a counselor, therapist or even a church minister to confide in while seeking help. However, even then a person may feel that their counselor doesnt truly understand their heartache, depression and worries that each individual may face from time to time. Dr Tina M Quick however, is not such a counselor as her far from ordinary life experiences show. She draws on her experiences of losing a spouse young, fighting a long term health condition and being a single parent to understand why people hurt over their hard experiences. She knows the depression someone feels over a relationship gone bad or the hardships that come from raising a family with only one parent. Even her friends as well as clients seem to feel she can reach inside and gently help heal the broken pieces of ones soul.

For years she has comforted her family and friends with her quiet words and willingness to listen. She has often thought about how she could help more people, but never had the ability to go to school and get the training to work as a counselor. After years of taking individual classes she recently graduated from a seminary school with a doctorate in Theology as well as being ordained as a Spiritual Minister. Studying many Religions, she found at the very core of each person, is our own unique interpretation of Faith. Drawing on this she formed her own guidelines on healing a persons inner spirit. Using her own experiences as well as those she has already helped, she formed the guide lines she now uses in her counseling program.

The Spirit within us is exactly what we must heal in order to achieve our own personal happiness. Understanding our Spirit and faith, no matter what religion you are, is the core of each person. Once we do this, we can embrace who we are and bring love and happiness once more into our lives. It is easy to see why people instantly open up to her. With her loving approach as well as her genuine desire to help all she can, Dr Quick has developed a system based on individual faith, loving yourself and giving positive energy that can fit anyones beliefs and lifestyle.

While offering a wide variety of services which include; life improvement classes, motivational speaking and self help workshops; she specializes in Teen counseling and single parenting. Alarmed over the growing trend of harsh punishment of teenage children who are unsure of who they are while testing their environment, she reaches out to not only these children but their parents as well to not give up on them and push them away.

We have all heard that kids act out for attention, however in todays society one small incident can set a child on a hard path to correct. We need to understand and love our kids more than ever. We are seeing young kids having to step up to help at home and in school with things we normally attribute to adults doing. As more families become single parent households, older children are assuming the role of the missing parent in their household. These kids need our love, not stricter punishment when they cant handle the pressure they never should have been put in to begin with.
