Tehachapi, CA (PRWEB) April 8, 2006 -- Sunday, April 2nd was the two year anniversary of Tehachapi’s first (and only) self serve dog wash and boutique. Canine Creek celebrated the occasion by throwing a Birthday Bash for its customers, giving away free dog washes, healthy food and treat samples, and dozens of drawing prizes throughout the day. To keep folks busy while waiting their turn for a free bath, attendees watched dog agility demonstrations, played with baby farm animals at the small petting zoo, and checked out goods and services offered by other local businesses.
The KTPI 103.1 FM radio ad announcing the free birthday event brought customers to Tehachapi from far and wide. Among those who enjoyed free bath day was Christina Loren, an on-air reporter from KERO Channel 23 TV in Bakersfield, who talked about her visit to Canine Creek, and the Tehachapi area, on the next day’s morning news.
Vendors who participated in the Canine Creek Birthday Bash include Biscuit Boutique of Bakersfield, Microchips & More, the Tehachapi Humane Society, Sit A Pet, Kathy Simons Photography, Java Cafe, Kern County Search & Rescue K-9 Unit, Sunflower Lawn Service, Natura Pet Products, Pet Services by Sally, and Dog Obedience by Barbara & Teri. Drawing prizes were also donated by a number of pet related internet businesses around the country.
Bill and Susie Atherton, owners of Canine Creek, wish to thank their customers for their patronage during the past two years, and the Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce and other local businesses that have helped them to grow and prosper since opening in April 2004.
