In Tough Real Estate Times, Zach Finn Bucks Trends
Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) June 4, 2008 -- Throughout South Florida, homes are going into foreclosure and realtors are getting new careers. But realtor Zach Finn is rising to the top with an opposite approach-- he is investing even more money in promoting and selling his properties.
"The market is changing and so is my business model," said Finn, owner of Finn Real Estate Enterprises, Inc., in Fort Lauderdale.
Instead of scaling back, Finn opened an office in a highly visible intersection of Fort Lauderdale on N.E. 20th Avenue and Sunrise Boulevard. Instead of spending thousands on print advertising like most of his colleagues, he turned his attentions toward entertaining.
Most realtors historically have broker open-houses with catered lunches where they "parade real estate agents and brokers through their new listings, and maybe you get a diet coke and a sandwich," Finn said, noting that many of his colleagues are trying to cut corners now that they have more inventory and less people coming to look.
Finn, however, has been throwing ultra-chic and savvy cocktail parties, which have become quite a hit. He hosted a Mai-Kai catered Hawaiian party at one of his waterfront listings in Rio Vista Isles, complete with tiki torches, hula dancers, superb food and premium liquor. At a trendy downtown loft listing (http://www.forsalefinn.com), he had male and female strippers bartending, art displayed and sushi.
"We are dealing with a hip crowd, and what I am doing creates a hype and an energy that doesn't exist in other forms of advertising," he said. "We're starting to see results and word is traveling fast."
To address the current market, Finn has also committed a portion of his business efforts to (bank owned) foreclosure properties and short sales, and it is becoming a lucrative part of his business.
"I know I'll make it through," he said. "I am determined to tough it out and help my clients in this challenging time."
Finn Real Estate Enterprises (http://www.forsalefinn.com) is located at 1998 E. Sunrise Blvd. To view current listings, visit www.forsalefinn.com or call 954.258.7967 for more information.
