I Just Wanted To Fix My Golf Swing, Not Split The Freakin' Atom!
Hi, I'm Kevin and I wanted to fix my golf swing.

What I was attempting to do did NOT seem so nuts to me. To take a simple golf club from the ground backwards, around my relaxed back and up behind me. To have it rest if only for a split second and then to have it follow that same path back down and toward the white ball slightly ahead of my right foot. Having impacted the ball, it should come back up and through the front of me seamlessly and then find rest back behind my head and neck, pointing directly at my target.
Seemed like a great plan. Certainly not rocket science. But here's the thing I refused to believe: there actually was science involved!!!
So while I was hoping to out-think all of the biomechanics of it all and let nature take over, it didn't and I was, once again, in the woods.
The art of fixing the golf swing is the coming to the awareness that it needs to become repeatable. Period. Whether your feet are above the ball or you have a flier or you are have one foot in the bunker and the other foot on the cart path, the PROPER swing is the one that serves you no matter what.
It is a triangle formed by your arms hanging down framed against your waist. Period. Destroying the triangle with your own grandiose thoughts takes you out of your repetition and into trouble.
Human nature tells us amateurs that we must somehow adjust to the changing conditions on the course. Why? Just the opposite should prevail. That in the face of golf adversity, we MUST rely on those things that we know work. And a perfect triangle works.
Always has, always will.
I have wanted to fix my golf swing since 1986 when Jack won the Masters with those horrible pants.
