Local Real Estate Agent Gets Involved in Charlotte
(Vocus) April 29, 2008 -- On April 12, 2008 Charlotte area real estate agent, Deanna Slep (http://www.deannaslep.com), and her team, Team Go Getter, sponsored the 17th Annual YMCA Healthy Kids Day at the local Harris YMCA (http://www.ymcacharlotte.org) in South Charlotte NC. She has a passion for her community, health and families.
Healthy Kids Day is the nation's largest health day for kids and families. More than 1,800 YMCA's across the country celebrated the day in some fashion. Other National sponsors included Disney Channel, Eli Lilly and Company, Northwestern Mutual Foundation and Tropicana.
The event held at the Harris YMCA was a fun-filled day of activities designed to promote healthy kids and families in the Charlotte NC Region. Deanna Slep, along with a number of other sponsors, brought activities which included inflatable bouncy houses, the RE/MAX (http://www.remax.com) Balloon, martial arts demonstrations, face painting, live music, free giveaways, numerous health related vendors and much more.
Health and fitness has always been a way of life for Deanna and she feels it should be a vital part of everyone's life. If taught at an early age, behaviors that support a healthy lifestyle can become second nature to everyone. The Day was designed to encourage kids and families to play more, make healthy food choices and build stronger relationships at home and in the community.
