RE/MAX Illinois Real Estate Agents Outsell in Kendall County in 2007
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) March 12, 2008 - RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate (http://www.illinoisproperty.com/remaxil/default.asp?p=findoffice.asp&results=y&alloffices=true) agents had a good year in Kendall County. In 2007, RE/MAX real estate agents led the Sales Made category by representing the buyers of 22.6 percent of the homes purchased in the county. This figure is based on sales data available through the Multiple Listing Service of Northern Illinois (MLSNI).
Though RE/MAX numbers were high, the Northern Illinois real estate (http://www.illinoisproperty.com) market was down overall last year. Home sale transactions reported by the MLSNI totaled 1,742 in Kendall County during 2007. That represents a decrease of 21 percent from 2006 when 2,201 homes were sold.
"Overall, the Chicago real estate market was down in 2007. Still RE/MAX agents sold more homes -- nearly 23 percent of the sales made in Kendall County Illinois," said Jim Merrion, Regional Director, RE/MAX Northern Illinois.
The top five real estate organizations in Kendall County during 2007*, in terms of homes purchased, were:
? REMAX -- 394 homes sold in Kendall County Illinois (22.6 percent)
? Coldwell Banker -- 338 homes sold in Kendall County Illinois (19.4 percent)
? Kettley -- 89 homes sold in Kendall County Illinois (5.1 percent)
? Century 21 -- 82 homes sold in Kendall County Illinois (7.8 percent)
? Baird & Warner -- 73 homes sold in Kendall County Illinois (4.2 percent)

RE/MAX has led the Chicago real estate market since 1989. During 2007, RE/MAX Chicago area agents assisted buyers in the purchase of 16.4 percent of the 91,766 homes sold. In the Chicago suburbs, RE/MAX agents also led in the number of buyers they helped purchase real estaterepresenting 21.1 percent of the homes sales market in 2007.
