New Kids Reality TV Show Set to Wrap Shoot in Las Vegas at End of April

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) March 18, 2008 -- The new kids reality TV show, "So You Want 2 Be a Star?" is in the last two months of its busy shooting schedule at the Competitive Edge Dance Studio and surrounding areas in Las Vegas. Jason the 'Diva Maker' Williams, the brutally honest and magnetic star of MTV's "Making the Band 3," is the owner, director and brains behind "So You Want 2 Be a Star?" Following his show-stealing appearance on "Making the Band 3," Jason was inspired to construct a venue for cultivating well-rounded entertainers.

Participants in "So You Want 2 Be a Star?" range in ages from 8 to 19. Some had no previous dance experience. Some have flown in from cities around the nation to take advantage of this opportunity to work with seasoned professionals. Jason has made arrangements for dance and singing scholarships for a few participants from Las Vegas' inner city. These kids have shown their "raw" talent and are highlighted in the show.

During the shoot, which began February 10, Jason kept the cameras rolling, shooting candid and fresh footage of the participants' auditions, dance, acting and singing instruction, rehearsals, and unexpected behind-the-scenes moments. The dancers are studying and training extensively in all genres of dance including Hip Hop, Jazz and Ballet along with theater acting, stage presence, and singing. This training is provided to help promote the kids as professional performers.

"Viewers will be amazed at the raw talent that walked in our door, but they will be totally wowed at seeing how they are being transformed into well rounded entertainers," says Jason Williams, creator of 'So You Want 2 Be a Star?'"

Co-Producers of "So You Want 2 Be a Star?" are April Palko, LaVern Brookins, Carlos Da Silva Chávez and Anthony Cooper, who has worked with major networks (NBC & ABC) continues to film independent features as well. Also producing is Lacy Darryl Phillips, director and choreographer of Uncle Earl Productions in Los Angeles. Phillips has done work on Broadway, film and television, as well as choreographed for Mariah Carey and Chaka Khan and appeared with Beyonce in the film "Fighting Temptations."
