San Diego Golf Academy Hosts Open House for New San Diego Campus

Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) February 29, 2008 -- San Diego Golf Academy, the oldest and largest golf college in the world, is pleased to announce an open house event introducing its all-new SDGA San Diego Campus on Saturday, April 5, 2008. The event will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the SDGA San Diego campus in Carlsbad, Calif., and will include facility tours, prize giveaways, food, refreshments and more.

Golf instructors, prospective students, and members of the golf industry are all invited to join in the festivities.

"Our new facility in Carlsbad is spectacular, and we are very excited to have the opportunity to share it with other golf enthusiasts," says Rich Iorio, campus director of the new SDGA San Diego campus. "SDGA works to prepare tomorrow's golf business professionals for the future of this industry using the latest technology and teaching methods. This is one of the sophisticated facilities of its kind, and we welcome everyone to attend."

SDGA's new state-of-the-art campus was developed to create an atmosphere conducive to learning from the college's comprehensive curriculum. Among the facility's new amenities are a 4,000-square-foot indoor training facility that includes a 1,200-square-foot putting area and space allocated for a 3-D/12 motion sensor analysis system. In addition, there are Titleist Performance Institute evaluations, golf simulators, V-1 and JC Video instruction systems, a student lounge and an exceptional club repair facility.

Founded in 1974, SDGA offers a 16-month program of golf instruction and golf business management at four campus locations in major golf markets -- Phoenix, Myrtle Beach, Orlando and San Diego. The curriculum is designed to provide graduates with the education required to get the golf job they desire. The SDGA is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) and by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), a national advocate and institutional voice for self-regulation of academic quality through accreditation.

Physics and Probability: Is There Really a Perfect Golf Swing?
If you are fond of playing golf, whether on a golf course or on your computer, then you might have encountered tutorials on making the so-called perfect golf swing. Your feet have to be a certain distance apart, your arms have to be flexed at a certain angle, and with some strength; and you have to tilt your body in such a way that you let it push the ball in the direction most desirable for your current state on the course. You may have practiced this swing for days on end, and if you are a beginning player, you may have admired the golf swing made by professionals: they make everything look so easy and comfortable!
