Desert Mountain's Scottsdale Arizona Golf Course Shops Named to "Top 100" List

Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) February 1, 2008 -- Desert Mountain (www.desertmountain.com) has once again been honored as one of the nation's top private golf experiences. Golf World Business recently recognized the Scottsdale Arizona golf course community for its golf shop operations, naming it one of the country's "Top 100" golf shops. It was the second Top 100 ranking in recent months for the community, which features six championship Jack Nicklaus Signature courses. In December, Golfweek included five Desert Mountain courses on its list of the 100 best residential courses in the country.

Desert Mountain features more Nicklaus Signature courses than any other private community in the world and according to Mark Thush, director of retail merchandisers and operations for Desert Mountain, that distinction forms the basis of his staff's firm commitment to excellence in the community's Arizona golf course shops.

The "100 Best Shops" designation recognizes golf shops that set the industry standard. Each year, 25 shops are selected in four categories: private, public, resort and off-course. Desert Mountain, selected for the best private shop category, also received the designation in 2005, along with a spot on the magazine's "Top 100 of All Time."

In all, Desert Mountain boasts five Scottsdale Arizona golf course shops, averaging 1,200 square feet and serving the community's six courses: Renegade, Cochise, Geronimo, Apache, Chiricahua and Outlaw.
