JK Harris Saves California Man from Student Loan Default
North Charleston, S.C. (PRWEB) November 22, 2007 -- Danilo Linarte says he was at the lowest point of his life this past summer when he defaulted on his student loan.

Linarte was already making payments on another student loan and his budget did not afford him the ability to make a down payment and the monthly payments the collection agency was demanding from him for the defaulted loan. Facing financial hardship, JK Harris set to work with Linarte's creditors to negotiate a repayment plan.
Once Linarte's Case Specialist got the case, JKH got the loan Linarte defaulted on consolidated with the student loan he was already making payments on. It usually takes 10 days for a decision on a consolidation, but the JK Harris was able to get the wait period waived so that the matter could be expedited.
But a few days later, Linarte hit another wall when the loan company said it could not consolidate the two loans due to the wage garnishment reported by the collection agency. Unwilling to give up, JK Harris' Student Loan team kept working for Linarte and found that the collection agency had sent its letters to the wrong address, which explained why Linarte had never received them. The loans were consolidated and a payment plan with a reasonable interest rate was put in place.
