Sea Trail Golf Resort To Host Final Tournament Of The 2007 German Handicap Improver Tour

Sunset Beach, N.C. (PRWEB) November 17, 2007 -- Sea Trail Golf Resort & Convention Center, located in Sunset Beach, N.C., will host a three-day golf tournament that will determine Germany's most-improved golfer/professional instructor team on November 22 through November 24, 2007. The event is the final competition on Germany's popular 2007 Handicap Improver Tour; a yearlong series of flighted qualifying tournaments that were held throughout Germany.

More than 100 teams were among the semi-finalists as the Handicap Improver series of qualifiers wound down to one winning team for each flight. The flights included golfers grouped according to their handicaps, which ranged from scratch to 56. Winners from the four flights won the chance to travel to the United States and Sea Trail to compete against each other in a Four Ball-Better Ball (net score) tournament.

German PGA officials will be on hand to monitor players and officiate during the competition. The winning team will be profiled in the Golf Magazine of Sueddeutsche Zeitung (one of Germany's leading daily newspapers), at www.pga.de (the official site of the German PGA), and in the German PGA newsletter, resulting in international publicity for the Grand Strand and Sea Trail.
