The David Leadbetter Golf Academy at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort offers instruction for golfers of varying ages and skill levels. Participants select the program that is best suited to their needs. Options include one- to three-day mini schools; two or three day retreats; a three-day player's school and one hour or full day private sessions. Each program offers in-depth instruction on short-game and full swing fundamentals, cutting-edge video analysis, and consultation on overall performance improvements.
Located just over an hour from Pittsburgh in the Laurel Highlands of Southwestern Pennsylvania, Nemacolin Woodlands Resort offers 36 holes of golf on two courses. The Pete Dye-designed Mystic Rock, a 7,511 yard, par 72 course, hosted the PGA Tour 84 Lumber Classic for the last three years, and The Links is a challenging 6,643 yard, par 72 course.
In addition to work on the course, participants will also receive instruction in a 3,000 square foot facility that contains four hitting bays equipped with the latest electronic and video systems, as well as a short game area that features putting greens, a chipping area and green-side bunker shots.
Programs at the David Leadbetter Golf Academy at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort are taught by Certified Instructors who have undergone a comprehensive training program designed and overseen by David Leadbetter at the David Leadbetter Golf Academy World Headquarters at ChampionsGate, Florida. All Instructors undergo a rigorous 12-month certification process, during which they train under Leadbetter and the Worldwide Director of Training and Certification. Instructors must also complete an annual recertification.
