Full Sail Real World Education Serves As Presenting Sponsor of The 16th Annual Florida Film Festival and Celebrates Its Tenth Sponsorship Year
Winter Park,, FL (PRWEB) March 18, 2007 -- Presenting Sponsor, Full Sail Real World Education, and the Enzian Theater announce the 16th annual Florida Film Festival from March 23 - April 1, 2007. This will be the tenth year that Full Sail has served as a sponsor of the event and it's fourth year serving as the Presenting Sponsor. The 10-day festival highlights the best in American independent and international filmmaking today. Facts to note about this year's event are the following:

Films screened at the Festival are eligible for Grand Jury, Special Jury and Audience Awards in each of thirteen categories.

Of the 170 films in this year's Festival, 140 are premieres (82%). The selections include 26 World, 3 North American, 8 US, 43 East Coast, 38 Southeast, and 22 Florida premieres. 15 of the films will have their Second US Showing at the Festival.

This year's films are from 24 countries. 36 of the films are from female filmmakers (up from 29 in 2006). Also, 26 of this year's selections were shot in Florida or produced by Florida filmmakers.
In addition to a wide variety of events, panel discussions and open forums, Full Sail will hold the Producers Forum: (March 28, 2:30PM, Winter Park Village Stadium 20, FREE and open to the public). The panel will answer the questions, "What is a producer? A supervisor? Or a person responsible for the financial and administrative aspects of a stage, film, television, or radio production?" and will address a variety of topics related directly to what it really takes to make a film happen from start to finish.
The Festival will also feature the Opening Night Film and Party Under The Stars (March 23, 6:30PM, Enzian Theater, film & party $75.00, party only $50.00) where guests may join fellow film fans for a special premiere screening of The TV Set with special guest Judy Greer followed by a grand festival kick-off celebration featuring the Tastes of Orange County Florida. Guests will dine on a dynamic and diverse array of dishes showcasing the finest ethnic cuisine Central Florida has to offer, from Asian and Hispanic to Soul Food and Florida fare.
In addition, on Wednesday, March 28, at 8:00 PM, Full Sail will be hosting the Filmmaker Welcome Party at nightclub, Rhythm and Flow for all filmmakers attending the Festival.

Festival Headquarters, located at the Best Western Mt. Vernon Inn, will house the main operations for the 2007 event, including pass, package and single ticket sales. Headquarters will be open from 11AM to 7PM on weekdays March 13 through March 24 and everyday from March 25 through April 1.
The Fest 20 Pack ($170) and Fest 6 Pack ($51) provide vouchers to programs, benefits such as invitations to special filmmaker soirees, and the opportunity to redeem vouchers before individual tickets go on sale. Vouchers may be redeemed for individual films, "Afternoon/Evening with" Celebrity Events, and the Opening Night Party. Single tickets go on sale online Friday, March 16 and in-person at Headquarters on Monday, March 19. Single tickets are just $9.
