Maine Golf and Tennis Academy Named #1 in Sports Illustrated KIDS

Belgrade, Maine (PRWeb) March 20, 2007 -- The Maine Golf and Tennis Academy has been selected by Sports Illustrated KIDS, as the best golf camp and separately the best tennis camp in America. The popular publication has picked the best in each of 13 different sports. Maine Golf and Tennis Academy is the only camp to be selected twice, once for golf and then again for tennis. The golf camp and the tennis camp program reflects a unique, comprehensive four-week curriculum.

"We offer a more complete program than all of the 1 week dormitory camps," stated Director of Golf PGA Class A Professional Tom Leimberger. Established in 1907, the camp is celebrating another milestone , its 100th year. Operated for many years as a traditional camp on beautiful lake Salmon, in 1997 the camp was transformed into a specialty sports camp. Children ages 8 – 17 years of age now come from all over the world to participate in this high tech camp, which now specializes in top golf school and top tennis school instructors and programs. Young people come from all over the world. Families from all 50 states and over 40 countries have sent their young hopeful junior golfers and tennis players to learn from the best.
