Access to Real Estate Information Expands on Florida's Gulf Coast

Boca Raton, FL (PRWeb) January 18, 2007 - A new alliance of real estate multiple listing service providers is making it easier to search Florida's Gulf Coast houses, condos, and commercial properties. Eight real estate associations have signed data-sharing agreements to form the new Florida Gulf Coast Alliance, according to Bill Dryburgh, president of the Punta Gorda-Port Charlotte-North Port Association of REALTORS®.

Listings from the region's MLS systems will be accessible to members of all eight real estate associations through eNeighborhoods' MLSAlliance product. MLSAlliance is an enterprise software platform that connects MLS databases and provides real estate professionals with a single website to access listing information from multiple MLS systems.

The situation on Florida's Gulf Coast is representative of larger trends in today's real estate industry. Brokers and agents often conduct business throughout the region, across the traditional MLS boundaries. With the new MLSAlliance system, 42,000 brokers and agents across the region will be able to search one web-based system to find listings spanning from Naples to Sarasota.

"We're solid from Sarasota on down," said Dryburgh. "The value to the home buyer and the home seller is that more eyes see their listings ... and the more eyes that see it, the more chance of selling the property. eNeighborhoods' MLSAlliance has the obvious advantage of being easy to use. Listings from Naples, Bonita Springs-Estero, Fort Myers and the Beach, and Cape Coral are already available on MLSAlliance. The other real estate associations participating in the Alliance are Punta Gorda-Port Charlotte-North Port, Englewood, Venice, and Sarasota. All are expected to be live on MLSAlliance by the end of March, 2007.
